Have you been up since Thanksgiving, enjoying family, eating and preparing your Black Friday shopping lists??? Did you go out at midnight or did you catch a few zzz's and head out to the stores before sunrise? Did you battle crowds and stand in long, long lines to get the items that you wanted? If so, you may be ready for a soothing bath to calm those aching bones and muscles!
You're exhausted and don't have a lot of time or energy to read, so I'll keep it short. Soak in a bathtub with epsom salts, baking soda and Panaway Essential Oil for about 20 minutes. (If you are lucky enough to have an oversized garden tub, you may consider doubling the recipe) Here's how you prepare it:
Black Friday Detox Bath
- Get the bath water as hot as you can stand it.
- Add one cup of Epsom Salts to the tub and make sure they dissolve.
- Add about 10 drops of Panaway EO to 1/2 cup of Baking Soda.
- Dump Baking Soda/Panaway EO into the tub.
- Make sure everything is dissolved before getting in.
- Drink a lot of water and relax in the tub while soaking your body.
Panaway EO's blend of oils smells just like icy hot and is great at providing comfort to aches and pains. (I highlighted Panaway EO in a Let's Learn Tuesday Post.) Bathing in Epsom Salts (which is comprised of the naturally occurring minerals magnesium and sulfate) can help improve health in numerous ways. See the Epsom Salt Council for more useful information. Adding Baking Soda is a great way to refresh your skin! Check out what Med-Health.net has to say about bathing with baking soda.
Hope this helps you to relax and enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend without feeling the affects of shopping until you drop!

Let's Learn - Panaway Essential Oil
This is my first post in my Let's Learn Tuesday! I will be highlighting one Young Living Essential Oil every Tuesday. I will be starting with the 11 (Yes, eleven) Essential Oils that come in the Premium Starter Kit. These are some of the most versatile and easy to use essential oils! I pretty much cannot imagine my life without using these 11 oils regularly - they are THAT awesome!
In recent posts I have already mentioned Purification, Lavender, Stress Away, Peppermint, Lemon, and Thieves Essential Oils, all which come in the PSK (Premium Starter Kit). So I will start with the five (5) essential oils that I have not talked about yet. Then I will go back and discuss the other six (6). Once I get through the PSK, I will review each of the flex oils - which are substitutes for when regular PSK oils are out of stock. Following all of those essential oils, I will work my way through the rest of my Young Living Essential Oil collection! Young Living has OVER 80 single essential oils and OVER 80 blends of essential oils! So it will take me YEARS to teach you about all of Young Living's Essential Oils! If you are anxious to hear about a certain oil which has not been featured in my Let's Learn Tuesday, please comment or send me a message and I'll be happy to work it into the schedule!
Without further ado, here is Panaway Essential Oil!
Let me first say that when I first received my PSK and I opened up Panaway for the first time, I was instantly reminded of Icy Hot! It smells so similar! And sure enough, I learned that the all natural, chemical free Panaway EO can be used as an alternative to Icy Hot. It is a blend of Wintergreen, Helichrysum, Clove, and Peppermint essential oils. I carry a small bottle around with me in my purse! The smell is refreshing & I like being prepared in case while I'm out and about an ache or pain creeps up!

As a recreational waterskier, who tries to slalom ski at least a couple times during the week when it's warm, I have taken advantage of this oil! It seems like its so easy to tweak your back getting up slalom skiing! When that happens, I rub Panaway EO, diluted with a carrier oil (usually Sweet Almond Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil) on the spot where I am feeling the discomfort. It is very unfortunate that I didn't have essential oils at the beginning of this past waterski season. As some of you may be familiar with, after your first set of the season, your body hurts all over! The next day! I'll be ready in the spring of 2016 with my Panaway EO! Your shoulders, neck and back ache after not waterskiing for several months! I may even try adding 5-10 drops of Panaway EO to one cup of Epsom Salts for a relaxing hot bath. What sore muscles and joints??? Ahhh...
